Cooking Workshop

The holidays have come and gone. We had a couple of fantastic workshops during the holidays. Crafty Kids & Little Chefs went so well, parents are asking to make it a monthly. :) Well, we will try our best. one thing for sure is the children had tons of fun and the so did the teachers! We made a Chritmas Wreath for our craft. As for the Little Chefs, they made a Chocholate Cake and Pizza - overloaded with cheese!!

Fun way to teach mixing clours.

Take the child's hand and dip it in red paint, then dip the other hand in yellow paint. ask the child to rub hands together and see what colour he/she gets after rubbing hands together. It should be 'orange'. Repeat with different colours. Blue and yellow makes green, and blue and red makes purple.

Botany: Planting a seed

Learning about seeds and plants. The Seniors planted a seed and learn about the life cycle of a plant. We used worksheets made by Montessri For Everyone. Their worksheets are really good and detailed. They have a wide range of worksheets that would be great for any lesson in a M0ntessori School.

Nature Jars

A great idea to bring nature into the classroom. Collect some jars, and fill them with seed, shells, leaves, twigs and other items you can think of. Display them on a shelf. Introduce them to the children. Their curious minds will appreciate it!

'N' for noodles

Yummy! A true Malaysian dish. Noodle soup. (Prawn Noodles to be exact). Made with paper bowls, wooden chopsticks, yarn, paper, felt, tissue paper, and plastic wrap.
